Visa information

As an international student, you will need a student visa to study at the University of East London International Study Centre. This page provides all the essential information you need to navigate the visa application process smoothly. Whether you’re applying for a student visa or need guidance on creating your UKVI account, we’ve got you covered.

The visa process: Pre-CAS checks

Before you can apply for a UK student visa, there are important steps you need to complete. One of the first is obtaining a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from the UEL International Study Centre. This is a unique reference number you’ll need to include in your visa application.

Pre-CAS checks

Eligibility assessment:

You must complete a Pre-CAS interview to allow us to assess whether your chosen course meets the visa requirements and whether you fulfil the criteria to study in the UK.

Financial requirements:

You must demonstrate that you have enough funds to cover your tuition fees and living expenses while in the UK. The exact amount will depend on your course and location.

Academic qualifications:

Ensure that you have the necessary qualifications to meet the entry requirements for your course.

English Language proficiency:

You’ll need to prove your English language skills, either through recognised qualifications or a test approved by the UEL International Study Centre.

Once these checks are completed, the UEL International Study Centre will issue your CAS, and you can proceed to apply for your visa.
