At UEL International Study Centre (ISC), our students came together to celebrate two vibrant cultural festivals, Diwali and Tihar. These festivals lit up the campus with joy, colour, and creativity.<\/p>\n

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is one of the most significant celebrations in Hindu culture, symbolising the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. Similarly, Tihar, widely celebrated in Nepal, is a beautiful festival that honours relationships between humans and animals, with lights, songs, and delicious food.<\/p>\n

Students embraced the festive spirit by taking part in games such as Pictionary and Word Search, sharing laughter, and enjoying tasty treats together. The event was a perfect opportunity for students from different cultural backgrounds to learn about these meaningful traditions and celebrate as one community. Students also received goodie bags as a special festive treat.<\/p>\n

Alongside Diwali and Tihar, our students and lecturers also got into the Halloween spirit. The ISC office was decorated with spooky touches, and everyone enjoyed a fun film afternoon, complete with plenty of seasonal cheer.<\/p>\n

These events highlighted the diversity and inclusivity of our UEL ISC community. From lighting lamps to watching Halloween films, it was wonderful to see our students come together, share traditions, and make lasting memories.<\/p>\n
