The Royal Docks School of Business and Law (RDSBL) recently hosted an exciting engagement activity event for the September Hospitality Groups, offering students a chance to explore opportunities at the school while developing their business skills. Teams of 4-5 members were tasked with creating a business idea and demonstrating how the Four Es (Entrepreneurship, Ethics, Environment, and Engagement) could be applied to their concepts.
The first business idea showcased was Mono Mania, a concept centred around dumplings. The four-member team presented a clear business structure designed like a Mono, reflecting their focused vision. Their plan emphasised sustainability and community engagement, applying the Four Es to create a business model with a strong ethical foundation.

Another creative concept featured was The Royal Heritage, offering customers the chance to live as royalty for a day, week, or month. This luxury experience included activities like horseback riding to a palace, helicopter rides, traditional dance, and even pressing handprints into clay, leaving a permanent mark in the palace floor. This idea highlighted exclusivity and cultural immersion, with a focus on engagement and creating lasting memories.
Additionally, a separate event for the Science Groups focused on environmental solutions, where students worked in teams to develop ideas to help the Earth. This event encouraged collaboration and creative thinking to address global challenges.
These activities provided students with valuable opportunities to enhance their business skills while embracing ethical, sustainable, and engaging practices.
