The university offer a centralised service to help you find work experience and placement opportunities. There is also a mailing list which features hundreds of vacancies from various organisations.

The Summer Internship Programme at UEL connects employers with students for short-term roles, managing recruitment and contributing to interns' salaries.

Networking

Each year, UEL organises networking opportunities for students, graduates, and alumni. The largest is the 'FUEL Your Future' careers fair at Canary Wharf, featuring 100+ employers.

International Students often worry about fitting in. At the University of East London, you will have the opportunity to build your social network with students from all over the world. You won’t need to worry about being lonely, the University of East London has welcomed over 5,000 international students in the last year. You will have the chance to take part in the yearly Fresher’s Fair, which will introduce you to all the clubs and societies on campus, as well as range of excursions to popular tourist spots in London and across the UK. With so much on your doorstep, you are guaranteed to find something that interests you.

Sports clubs

We take your study/life balance seriously. In order to be successful and happy during your time at the university, we know that you need to enjoy yourself. We want you to challenge yourself to meet new people and learn new skills. We highly recommend joining a sports club or society to learn a new skill and meet new friends. Be sure to visit the £21 million SportsDock complex with two huge indoor sports arenas and a 120 piece fitness centre to find out more about all the clubs you can join.

This is a chance to represent student life by creating fun and inspiring content. From ‘Day in the Life’ vlogs to ‘Study With Me’ videos, you’ll showcase your experiences, inspire other students, and gain real content creation experience for your CV, all while having fun and connecting with fellow international students.
