In our centre we held fun quizzes for our students, and then the International Study Centre community moved outside on campus. Robana Kamal, our Student Services Officer and proud UEL alumna, explained ‘The 125th UEL anniversary was filled with exciting activities, my highlight was enjoying the bumper cars, ice creams and photo booths with our students and colleagues. There were lots of visitors and we all managed to lose each other in the crowd.
I would guess the favourite for everyone was the dance show by UEL’s performing arts students with the energetic performances endeing with lots of cheers and clapping. While enjoying the performances with my 3-year-old niece I noticed some of our ISC students in the crowd, dancing along the beats. The view from the top of the big wheel was as captivating as expected, with a fascinating view of the colourful campus filled with students, staff and visitors celebrating the University’s birthday along the Docks we love so much on campus!’
