Recently, students from our September 2023 UEL ISC cohort came together with centre staff to celebrate their achievements since our largest student group arrived in East London.
Finally, many of the ISC’s lecturers recorded Good Luck messages for our students, including Ahmet Celik, Programme Lead, whose video may be found above.
Following previous student feedback, the format of the event was changed and the timing brought forward to allow as many students as possible to attend the celebration at the University’s Docklands campus.
Starting with welcome speeches from Simon Fitch, Centre Director, and Andreia Areal, Academic Director, 5 of our student representatives then shared their reflections on time spent at the centre, expressing their gratitude to their teachers before receiving trophies to mark their input into Centre operations during 2023/24. All of our students then joined to give the ISC staff a standing ovation!

In conclusion, Simon Fitch, Centre Director, noted ‘this was the biggest cohort we’ve had in the Study Centre, and the best End of Course celebration so far. Thanks go to our Student Services team for arranging such a successful event, and to all our staff for participating. And, most importantly, we thank our students and wish them all the very best as they progress to the University!’
