The last month has seen the UEL International Study Centre’s events programme enriching our students’ experience both on and off campus with a wide range of activities.
In the Study Centre, students have celebrated the Dashain, Diwali and Tihar festivals with dancing, food and fun. Our students have learnt more around their friends’ backgrounds via in-class quizzes and a range of other activities and have understood the significance of these festivals to their classmates.
November has also seen the start of our academic trips programme, with students visiting a range of events linked to their courses. These have included our hospitality students visiting the World Travel Market, one of the largest travel and tourism events globally, free of charge with their lecturers.
Andreia Areal, the ISC Academic Director explained ‘with the world renowned Excel exhibition centre just 5 minutes from UEL’s Docklands campus, our students are ideally placed to take advantage of opportunities taking place there. All of our students will be able to take advantage of our Trips programme during the academic year, and enjoy time with their friends whilst learning around practical aspects of their programmes, and we look forward to more events in and out of the centre during the academic year’
